Atto 465 dye, derived from Acriflavin, presents strong absorption, high fluorescence quantum yield, and excellent thermal and photo-stability. In aqueous solution, it has a large Stokes shift of 55 nm. The dye shows intense, long-lasting phosphorescence in solid matrices at low temperatures. Moderately hydrophilic, Atto 465's fluorescence is efficiently excited between 420 and 465 nm, and it is usually coupled to DNA and RNA oligonucleotides.
