Thermostable Polymerases and reverse Transcription
metabion offers a variety of frequently used PCR polymerases for all main applications. For your convenience different formats are available:
- Standard format:
"Taq only" (mi-E8001) and “Hot Taq” (mi-E8010), coming along with two reaction buffers (with and without MgCl2) and MgCl2 stock solution, to help to optimize your PCR, if necessary.
- Sets:
Taq (mi-E6003), Splendid Taq (mi-E6004), and Pfu (mi-E6022), coming along with polymerase, Reaction Buffer (with MgCl2), dNTP mix and Loading Dye in separate tubes. You get everything you need to set up your standard PCR, long amplification PCR or high fidelity PCR, except template and primers.
- The ready-to-use mixes:
Taq (mi-E8002) or Hot Taq (mi-E8011), 2x conc. with MgCl2 solution.
- Ready-to-use prefilled tubes:
Taq 96 (mi-E6005 and mi-E6007) and Splendid Taq (mi-E6006 and mi-E6008), 2x conc., 10 μl for a final volume of 20 μl). "96" gives you 96 single tubes with a tap, to use one after the other. "96 (12 x 8)" provides 12 stripes of 8 tubes and the corresponding strips of taps.
- Dry Taq Mix:
(mi-E8050) is a great choice if you cannot assure a continuous cooling chain for your PCR polymerases (e.g. while travelling or at field stations with small molecular biology units). The polymerase, a heat-sensitive inhibitor for hot start and the dNTPs are carefully lyophilized and can be kept at room temperature for long periods of time. Prior to use, it has to be dissolved with the PCR diluent buffer.
- Direct gel loading:
Red Load ready-to-use mixes (mi-E7001, -7002 and -7003) containing an inherent dye which allows the direct loading of the PCR product onto an agarose or acrylamide gel.

Delivery
Enzymes will be shipped as soon as possible after receiving your confirmed order. If you want to combine shipments of different product categories/orders for cost saving reasons, please indicate.
To assure the quality of our enzymes, they are shipped on cool packs within Germany and Europe. If longer travelling times are expected (> 3 days, customs, etc.) dry ice can be used instead.
Please note: mi-Dry Taq Mix must be shipped > 0°C to preserve the quality of the product. It also must be stored at room temperature (above 0°C ) to ensure functionality.
Transportation damages have to be immediately/ upon receipt of goods notified to the parcel service!
