ATTO Rho14 is a rhodamine-based dye designed for coupling with DNA and RNA. It offers strong absorption and an exceptionally high fluorescence quantum yield, making it the brightest dye available within its wavelength range. Additionally, it boasts excellent photostability. Its absorption and fluorescence remain stable across a pH range of 2 to 11, common in most applications. The dye is moderately hydrophilic and, after coupling to a substrate, carries a net charge of +1. It is efficiently excited in the 605-640 nm range, with the 633 nm line of a He:Ne laser or a 635 nm diode laser serving as suitable excitation sources.
Atto Rho14 (Figure 1) can be used as an alternative of Alexa Fluor®633 or Alexa Fluor®635.
